Top 10 Producer Mistakes

Hey guys, I wish I could say that I am responsible for making this list, but alas, I'm not, but it's definately worth a read:

Top 10 producer mistakes a la tape, vinyl, tubes, and radio static

I don't really have anything interesting to add to his post, just read it and enjoy!

PS - I'm going to try and start writing on this blog more often, sorry about that :)

Having the assistant engineer patch in your room mic's to the distressors while leaving one side half normaled and not notice when your crawling around on the floor stereo linking the dam things. Then standing up and unsoloing the room mics and track 3 songs like an asshole. Then find out 2 days later when your removing patches that the assistant is an idiot. So my top Producer mistake is: Presuming everyone in the room is doing there job right. Always double check things around the room that may have been futzed with before you say "rolling".
